Email Send Log Now Works on Any Record Page
We got the same support question a few times in a row, and it made us realise we’d missed something obvious. “We’ve set up JB Email Send Log on the Contact page, but our org uses Person Accounts. The component just doesn’t show up.”. They were right. Until v1.45, the component was hardcoded to work only on the standard Contact record page. If you were running Person Accounts — or wanted to drop it on a Case, Account, or any other object — you were out of luck.
What changed in v1.45
Any record page support
You can now add the JB Email Send Log component to any Lightning record page via Lightning App Builder. Contact, Person Account, Case, Account — wherever it makes sense for your team.
Configurable subscriber ID field
This one goes hand in hand with the above. Marketing Cloud identifies subscribers by an ID — usually the Contact ID. But on a Person Account, that’s not the ContactId field on the record. It’s PersonContactId. Before v1.45, there was no way to tell the component which field to use. Now there is. In the component properties in Lightning App Builder, you can set the Subscriber ID Field API Name to whatever field maps to your Marketing Cloud subscriber key.
Why this matters for Person Account orgs
Person Accounts are common in B2C Salesforce orgs — financial services, healthcare, retail. If your Marketing Cloud sends to consumers who live in Salesforce as Person Accounts, you previously had no way to surface that email history on the record. Now you do.
