See which Marketing Cloud Engagement emails a contact got
Let agents see which Marketing Cloud Engagement emails a contact received, open the email, and resend it from the Salesforce record page.

When a customer calls about “the email you sent me”, the agent opens the record in Salesforce and finds nothing. The email went out from Marketing Cloud Engagement, so the agent asks the customer to forward it, or guesses.
JB Email Send Log solves this with a Sent Emails component on your customer record pages. It queries your data in Marketing Cloud and stores none of it in Sales Cloud or Service Cloud.
What the agent needs on the record
To answer the customer without leaving the record, the agent needs three things:
- a list of the emails sent to this person, with the date, subject, and sender;
- the email itself, to see what the customer is talking about;
- a way to send it again when the customer cannot find it.
The list has to cover every send. A customer does not care whether an email came from a journey, a triggered send, or a newsletter. A triggered send is an email Marketing Cloud sends when an event happens.
How Email Send Log shows the emails
Email Send Log adds a Sent Emails component to any Lightning record page: Contact, Lead, Person Account, Case, Account, or a custom object. You place it with Lightning App Builder, the editor for record pages.
The component finds the emails by subscriber key. On a Contact that is usually the record ID. On a Person Account, set the Subscriber ID Field API Name property to PersonContactId.
When the agent opens the record, the component queries Marketing Cloud live through a Named Credential, the standard Salesforce place for API credentials. It reads an indexed copy of the send log, the data extension that records every send. The list includes triggered and journey sends.
Which columns the agent sees
By default the list shows sent date, subject, and sender address. Email name, from name, and open date are optional columns. In the Email Send Log Settings tab you choose the columns, set their order, and rename the title and every column header.
Open the email and resend it
From the list, the agent opens the online version of the email the customer got, personalisation included. Each row has a menu button with two actions: View Online and Resend.
View Online opens the email in a new browser tab. Marketing Cloud generates the online version again each time it is opened.
The agent can then choose Resend, for example for a lost order confirmation. Salesforce confirms with the message “Email resent.” The agent does not need to open Marketing Cloud or ask the marketing team.
Both actions need the data extension the email was sent from. Once it is cleared or deleted, View Online no longer opens the email and Resend no longer sends it.
What it stores in your org
Nothing. The send history stays in Marketing Cloud, and the component reads it when the page loads. It shows the results and does not save them, so your Salesforce data storage does not grow.
The Marketing Cloud client ID and client secret sit in the Named Credential. Your security team can audit, rotate, and restrict them with standard Setup tools.
