Bucket List
If you’re a bit like me you probably have heaps of things you want to do but too much on your plate to actually get most of it done. I cannot count the times people told me to focus in order to get things done. Journey Builders is probably the result of this advice. Ever since I’ve started working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud I missed quality content on using the platform and best practices. For developers, sales and service cloud the platform is very well documented and a lot of training material and courses are available to develop your skills. SFMC was lacking this, this really called for a solution.
So where’s the bucket list in this story? Ever since I’ve started my professional career I have trained co-workers and other professionals. Some I did myself and a lot of training happened whenever I matched very specific expertise to knowledge needs for clients I worked for. But a lot of this training happened as part of a project. It so happened I liked to organize these sessions and have had the idea to do this in a more strucured way.
Now there’s a number of people that I know of that have extensive Marketing Cloud skills in both development and using the platform and its features. Some of whom I know through the Salesforce user group community. I got introduced to Eliot Harper, a Salesforce MVP and SFMC writer and expert. Furthermore, several people I contacted that have the right expertise and training experience were willing to train other people.
This is where ideas were starting to turn into action. Eliot has given the first master class and Ralph is scheduled to deliver his first AMPscript basics workshop. We expected a local audience but were surprised to see so many people from abroad attending. This means we need to choose locations more carefully, or just go to where the action is. Who knows where we will pop-up next 🙂
How’s that for checking off one of my bucket list items!
PS: We’re looking for new locations in Europe and trainers that can really rock the classroom.
