GETTING PERSONAL IN OUR FIRST AMPSCRIPT MASTERCLASS

Everywhere in Europe people are using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver personalized messages to their customers. Campaign engineers and developers are looking for ways to go beyond just the basics but have a hard time finding knowledge and best practices. In our first AMPscript Masterclass Eliot Harper, Salesforce MVP and Marketing Cloud Expert, shared his experiences in programming and SFMC development with 16 developers from Belgium, Germany, UK, Finland, and the Netherlands.

For this session we picked Anna Haen, an old traditional farmhouse in Abcoude, just outside Amsterdam. The pictures of cows and windmills everybody took made up for the slight inconvenience from our guests abroad (we promise we’ll do better next time). Eliot delivered a high paced masterclass on exclusion scripts, API functions vs WSproxy, Sales & service cloud functions and more. Most of us had a well-sized list of things to pick up in our own projects; for example on how to use exclusion scripts in Journey Builder to prevent sends of emails to specific contacts.

To close the workshop we had a sunny outside lunch and Q&A with Eliot. Great to hear how everyone uses Marketing Cloud and what challenges we are all facing. We currently have planned new workshops and courses with Eliot and other trainers. Check out the course schedule for details and we look forward to seeing you next time!
